MAHUMODO - April's EP

[ BACK ]   [ MAIN ]

The twinkling chimes of 'bels' signals the beginning of the next eagerly awaited   mind-flight courtesy of the awe-inspiring Mahumodo. As tribal drums and fuzzy guitar entice, the listener is elevated to an alternative state waiting to go where they are to be taken.

'withme' sweeps you away with majestic ease, blushing melodies intermingle with brutal screams and tearing riffs.  'chameleon' and 'orchids' take it in turns to torment the senses, first beating and bruising, then with an exquisite eastern warmness, soothing away the anguish as the sounds wash over you with intensive activity and modelling an atmosphere that is truly hypnotic.

'aprils' takes the melody one step more and drags it further into the intense heaviness, creating something that has all the beauty beheld by a rose while also having thorns that seriously draw blood.

Mahumodo have the ability to build from a mere foundation of fluttering vibes, something that becomes so strong and powerful, songs that flourish with an intensity only equalled by virtuosity.  It's a quality and style moulded into a shape that is quite unique, making this band something that nobody should miss out on. If it's still possible for you to be unsure, then download the song 'aprils' from www.mahumodo.com and you will want this EP - I can promise.
