Having heard nothing of this band before I was quite pleasantly surprised to see that the CD featured guest vocals from Napalm Death crooner Barney Greenway. Their biography states they sound something like an industrial Sepultura and after a couple of listens it began to grow on me. The most obvious reference point would be ex-Roadrunner band Lost Souls.

There is a definite industrial undertone in there somewhere, ‘Freedom Bondage’ chugs along with some fairly competent double bass pedal work. The vocals tend to grate a bit, and to be honest the production is just dire, you would have to question whether the band spent all the money getting Barney to guest on the album and ended up with about ten pence to hire a producer with. I’m not sure whether this band will get out of Italy, but still, if you like semi-industrial thrash that sounds like its been produced in a cardboard box then this may just be your thing.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION (20/10/2002).
To balance this review, I thought it was only fair to publish the following comments from Mirko who is a member of the band (Ed):   "Breathing Instructions ADV Tape" is only a rough advance version and didn't have the time spent on it that the final mix has. Barney performed free of charge, he's a great person and he did the vocals just to help us out, we're all huge Napalm Death fans. The producer didn't get any money either as it was me (Mirko).
