Amazingly, this band - currently based in Bath - has only been in solid form for less than a year, although you would be forgiven for thinking they were seasoned veterans and this (their debut EP) impressed sufficiently for Glasstone/Lockjaw Records to release it for them nationally.

So what is all the fuss about? “Songs For The Betrayed” deliver an unrelenting assault of unrepentant hostility and double-kick drum hammering that irregularly chops and changes it’s pace and it's angle of attack.  It’s the face melting intensity of a brutal aural battering, the heavy chainsaw guitars with intermittent discordant screams, the relentless pummelling drums, aggressive bass rhythms and the vocals that switch between throat tearing agony and mesmerising melody. It’s the rampaging dynamics of the Deftones meets the tuneful aggression of Killswitch Engage, producing undiluted ferocity in a way Onedice once did, but while remaining crushingly heavy always maintaining the stabilising elements of melody.

If you could bottle the power from this band you would have an instant solution to renewable energy.  There’s not a duff track on this EP as each one is blisteringly awesome, its music like this that makes a mosh pit a dangerous place to be. And if that wasn't enough, they are already in the process of recording their debut album, so given some decent production who knows how much better they could sound. But for now if you like your music heavy (and that’s FUCKING HEAVY), you can bet you wont take this baby out your player for months!
