A band conceived by ex-Dream Evil guitar hero Gus G, this melodic power metal band base themselves out of Greece and this is their third album to date. Trading off the prime ingredients of classic 80’s bouffant metal, this album is extremely well written and performed by some clearly very talented musicians.  Harking back to the heyday of bands such as Dio and Ozzy Osborne’s solo efforts, there are some great moments of pose, pomp and circumstance in a huge hard rock sound.

Kicking off with “Kill To Live” they start fast and hard like they mean to go on, with whaling guitar licks not heard since prime time with Jake E Lee or even from the boy Malmsteen. “Beware The Beast” has an almost Germanic feel to it - kind of Helloween-esque - sharing lots of melody with “Tyranny” and “The Forgotten Memory”, which parade many classic power metal qualities. “Hateworld Hero” demonstrates a strong Dio influence and overflows with tom-tom bass and finger strutting, guitar shrieking solos. “Escape From Tomorrow” sounds like Jake E Lee squabbling with Steve Vai while white water rafting.

“Feast Of The Savages” is a Malmsteen-esque instrumental, shoe-horned into a strong European sound, yet having echo’s of Dream Theater and just oozes class.  “Burn In Hell” has a beautiful melodic chorus that is matched with charming and charismatic guitar solos - just great hard rock. “Perished In Flames” gets all dark, hard and moody, musically very Ozzy but lifted by some sensational vocals. Finally, “Land Of Eternity” covers the epic power ballad of days gone by and round off the album nicely.

This is an excellently entertaining album that appeals to the poser within us all and has you grappling for the air guitar within seconds.  An album that is immediately appealing but also grows deeper on you the more it’s played and believe me you’ll want to play it a lot.  Unexpectedly recommended.
