After nine years South Coast mob SNUB have called it a day, and though this has been threatened before, this time it's for real. The catalyst for the split was the departure of yet another guitarist, Martyn, who headed off for bigger and better things at music college in Brighton.

The long-awaited second album called 'Why Build Bridges When You Can Burn Them', has been released. The album features tracks penned by the current line up since the band's reformation at the beginning of 2002.   Available NOW through Manmade Records.

Not wishing to waste what modicum of spare time they may have left, the pair have also began a new band called YOU'VE BEEN LIED TO arising out of the ashes of SNUB - see more details below...

YOU'VE BEEN LIED TO

...are a new band from ex-members of the rather excellent Bournemouth band SNUB - Martin Jeffery and James Iaciofano (Choff). Initially called ELIAS, the band was forced to change its name for legal reasons, but also features a new line-up (now a five-piece) and completely new songs and are aiming to be far more brutal than SNUB ever was. It's great to know that Choff and Martin Jeffrey really do feel that they've finally found their spiritual "home" musically with this band.

They will be hitting the studio anytime now to lay down tracks for their first ever demo! The resulting EP will be released through Manmade Records and more details, including a track listing, are available through the band's temporary website at www.elias.org.uk.

MANMADE RECORDS

Manmade Records has been set up by Martin Jeffery and James Iaciofano (Choff) - ex-Snub and now You've Been Lied To - initially to handle the final album release by SNUB. However, they now feature other high quality up-and-coming artists from all around the scene.

Manmade Records is currently a two-man operation. Label founder Martin is a musician with over fifteen years' experience - and is also a well respected photographer - check out www.photochromatics.org.uk.  Choff has been involved in the scene for around ten years as gig organiser, promoter and frontman in several bands. He loves the music, meeting people and networking.
