(Copro Records - COP006)

Snub - 360 Degree Conviction

Tracks:
360 Degree Conviction
Mondo Cain

Blackout

The first release on Copro Records in the form of a 5 track mini-CD.
All costs covered in full by Snub.
Produced and mixed by Andy Mitchell and Snub.

Performed by Martin Jeffery (bass), Ian Field-Richards (or Bob - guitar), Choff (vocals),
Vincent Edmonds (drums) and Simon Smith (guitar).

The original recording process took place between the 22nd and 27th November 97 (drums, guitar, bass, vocals and backing vocals) with some re-recording taking place during December (bass and backing vocals).  The initial mixing was between the 7th and 16th January, with the final mix completed and mastered on the 24th January, 98.

Additional information: The big gap between when the recording was mastered and the eventual release date was down to severe short-comings in the approach and professionalism of Sean Cronin of Boom Studios who did the CD mastering - the pressing plant (DocData) found serious errors that prevented them from cutting the Glass Master, and incredibly it took a month or so of chasing just to get him to re-do the masters!

THE DEMO's

ZERO TOLERANCE
First available: April 1997.

This demo was self-financed and self-recorded in their rehearsal-room on 4-track equipment.

Tracks:
Three On A Meathook
Combat Shock
Bad Trip
New Ethic
Campaign Of Hate

Performed by Martin Jeffery (bass), Ian Field-Richards (guitar), Choff (vocals)
and Vincent Edmonds (drums).

The original backing tracks were recorded between the 21st and 31st March, 97.

Additional information: This recording was done in segments - the drums were recorded on four tracks then mixed onto high quality analogue 2-track before being copied back down in stereo onto 4-track, leaving two tracks spare to record bass and guitar; the process was repeated a second time to build up a better quality recording of the backing tracks than had previously been achieved, before finally adding the vocals and additional guitar parts.

RED RUM
First available: Late 1996.

This was again, self-financed and self-recorded in their rehearsal-room on 4-track equipment.

Tracks:
Before It Rains
These Demons
Tourniquet
Counter Product Culture
Breaking Point
CrackHappy

Performed by Martin Jeffery (bass), Ian Field-Richards (guitar), Choff (vocals)
and Vincent Edmonds (drums).

The original backing tracks were recorded on 27th Sept 96.   The vocal tracks, acoustic overdubs and samples were recorded during 10th-17th Oct, and the final mix completed on the 22nd October.

WORD OF MOUTH
First available: 31st May, 1996.

The first demo, originally recorded to demonstrate Snub's music for the purposes of recruiting a vocalist and drummer.
It was self-financed and self-recorded in their rehearsal-room on 4-track equipment.

Tracks:
Colour Abuse
Something Has To Give
Nauseous
Snuff Movie
Downturn

Performed by Martin Jeffery (bass), Ian Field-Richards (guitar), Choff (vocals) and Luke Duffield (drums).

The original backing tracks were recorded on 29th Feb 96, while the vocal tracks were added on the 12th and 15th May and the final mix completed on the 21st May.

Additional information: Choff's vocals were recorded at Martin's old house which produced an unfortunate incident.  While Choff was giving his all for the recording, the next-door-neighbours called the police believing that Choff's screaming was someone being murdered!  On their arrival, they insisted on checking every room in the house to make sure there were no dead bodies lying around...
