An independent EP that has been excellently produced by Mark Daghorn at his 'New Rising Studio' in Peldon, Essex and appears to be essentially a re-recording of the Short Stories EP. It doesn't include any new songs but does feature four of the very strongest from the bands repertoire, which are given a fresh lease of life and a professional finish.

It is really worth reading the two reviews of the previous EP's first, as these will help to get a complete feel for the band and their unique sounding music.  A Citizen Above Suspicion have a quirky sound, it's a creepy, dark, downbeat kind of anger that is very different to what many run-of-the-mill bands offer today and it can also be quite a challenge for the listener.

This EP offers an additional neatness to the gritty feel and somehow makes the sound appear enormous, which in turn helps to emphasise the cinematic qualities of the music.  It manages to keep the desperately bleak atmosphere which is so much part of their sound, but imparts vital lucidity that also gives a fine air of elegance.

The "New Rising EP" has given the band an opportunity to present some of their finest music to date and show it in it's best light. It's an excellent sampler for unacquainted listeners.
